Code Blue is called in the hospital to indicate a patient requiring resuscitation or in need of immediate medical attention, most often as the result of a respiratory arrest or cardiac arrest. The Code Blue team, that help patients in these situations, is an interdisciplinary team made up of Intensivist, Cardiologist, Nursing supervisor,  Nursing assistant, attending physicians, as well as other medical residents.

Code Orange refers to  disaster management. It deals with providing prompt and effective medical care to the largest number of people needing that care in order to bring about early recovery and reduce the death and disability associated with the disaster incident.

COURSE OVERVIEW:

Child abduction or child theft is the unauthorized removal of a minor from the custody of the child’s natural parents  or legally appointed guardians. Code Pink denotes a missing child in health care facilities and deals with protection for all Paediatric patients during their hospital stay. 

During a CODE PINK, it is the responsibility of the hospital staff to follow the necessary protocol as set by the hospital, if a child is found to be missing within the hospital premises
